Marcus Semien hit his 43rd homer of the season Saturday night to tie Davey Johnson’s MLB record for most home runs by a second baseman in a single season.
Semien’s solo shot in the top of the sixth inning extended the Toronto Blue Jays‘ lead to 3-1 against the Minnesota Twins, en route to a 6-1 victory.
Johnson hit 43 homers with the Atlanta Braves in 1973.
