This Toronto Blue Jays season opened with high expectations but the team fell short, ultimately being swept in the wild-card round for the third time in four years.
Now, one week after the Blue Jays were eliminated by the Twins, president and CEO Mark Shapiro spoke to the media for close to 40 minutes.
In the press conference, Shapiro confirmed general manager Ross Atkins will return next season but he said the results of the season, ultimately, were “not acceptable.”
