A homegrown Toronto FC player is about to go overseas.
Portugal's Avs Futebol is finalizing a deal to sign TFC forward Deandre Kerr, The Athletic's Tom Bogert reported Tuesday.
The 23-year-old Kerr, from Ajax, Ont., has 15 goals in 105 career games for TFC.
Kerr hasn't scored in 10 games this season.
Kerr joined the Toronto FC Academy in 2018 before playing NCAA soccer at Syracuse University.
He made his first career appearance for the MLS squad in 2022.
