Cris Cyborg won the inaugural PFL women’s featherweight title Saturday at a Professional Fighters League event at LDLC Arena in Decines-Charpieu, France.
The mixed martial arts legend submitted challenger Sara Collins with a face crank midway through the third round of their 145-pound contest.
Brazil’s Cyborg, 40, is a former UFC and Bellator champion who hasn’t lost since being stopped by Amanada Nunes in their champion vs. champion meeting at UFC 232 in 2018.
After leaving the UFC in 2019, Cyborg joined the now-defunct Bellator organization where she went 6-0 and has gone 2-0 under the PFL banner since debuting in October of 2024.
Cyborg vs. Collins was the co-main event. In the main event, Vadim Nemkov won the inaugural PFL heavyweight championship with a first-round arm-triangle choke of Renan Ferreira.
Nemkov is a former two-weight titleholder in Bellator and has now added a PFL title to his collection. The 33-year-old from Russia has not lost since 2016 and could be in line for a bout with Francis Ngannou, who hasn’t fought since he beat Ferreira 14 months ago in his first and only PFL appearance.
