UFC superstar Conor McGregor has yet to speak publicly about the criminal charges he faces stemming from an incident at Barclays Center earlier this week but his manager, Audie Attar of Paradigm Sports Management, released a statement Saturday.

“So much misinformation about my client, Conor McGregor,” Attar wrote. “The matter is in the hands of law enforcement and I cannot really say more. Conor is a great father, a fiercely loyal friend, and one of the best athletes in the world. He looks forward to getting back to fighting as soon as possible.”

McGregor was captured on video Thursday throwing a dolly through a bus window backstage at a media event. The bus was full of fighters scheduled to compete on Saturday night’s UFC 223 card in Brooklyn. Several athletes on the bus sustained injuries and McGregor is facing felony criminal mischief and misdemeanour assault charges.

The 29-year-old Irishman was released on $50,000 bond Friday in New York following his arraignment and is scheduled back in court June 14.

UFC president Dana White described the scene as “the most disgusting thing that has ever happened in the history of the company.”
