Rafael Dos Anjos snapped a two-fight losing streak over the weekend, defeating former lightweight contender Kevin “The Motown Phenom” Lee in the featured bout at a UFC Fight Night event in Rochester, N.Y.

Dos Anjos submitted Lee in the fourth round of the back-and-forth welterweight bout.

The former lightweight champion had lost back-to-back five-round unanimous decisions to current welterweight champ Kamaru Usman and former interim titleholder Coldby Covington.

Dos Anjos (29-11-0) is the No. 3-ranked contender at 170 pounds and his win over Lee keeps him in contention for a future title shot.

Meanwhile, Lee (17-5-0) has dropped three of his past four fights. He was making his welterweight debut after deciding the weight cut down to 155 pounds had become a hindrance.

In other action, UFC veterans Charles Oliveira and Nik Lentz met for the third time since 2011 with Oliveira earning a TKO win.

In preliminary action, Brazil’s Michel Pereira stole the show in his UFC debut with his energetic, fan-friendly style that led to a massive knockout of England’s Danny Roberts.
