Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal avenged a loss to rival Quinton “Rampage” Jackson in the main event of Bellator 175 Friday night.

Lawal earned a unanimous decision over Jackson in a three-round heavyweight bout nearly three years after Jackson beat him by unanimous decision at Bellator 120 in the promotion’s season 10 light-heavyweight tournament final.

Lawal (21–6, 1 NC) was able to win the first round by outworking Jackson and landing several takedowns. He was caught with several hard punches from Jackson in the second round but rebounded in the third, winning 29-28 on all three scorecards.

Jackson weighed in at 253 pounds for the rematch, 41 pounds heavier than Lawal, and the extra weight seemed to have an impact on the former UFC 205-pound champion’s speed and cardio. Jackson (37–12) had a fight-fight win streak snapped.

Also on the main card, Steve Kozola remained undefeated with an impressive stoppage of Jake Roberts and former UFC featherweight Noad Lahat improved to 2-0 in Bellator with his second consecutive rear-naked choke win as he beat Lloyd Carter.
