Two of the more talented welterweights in mixed martial arts met in the Bellator 229 main event over the weekend with Lorenz Larkin topping former 170-pound champion Andrey Koreshkov by split decision.

Larkin has now won three straight bouts while Koreshkov has dropped two of his past three outings.

Goiti Yamauchi, Keri Taylor Melendez and Tony Johnson also emerged victorious on the main card.
