Misha Cirkunov to take on Patrick Cummins at UFC Moncton

Canadian light-heavyweight Misha Cirkunov looks to return to the win column Oct. 27 when he takes on Patrick Cummins at a televised UFC card in Moncton.

Cirkunov (13-4-0) is currently ranked 10th among 205-pound contenders while Cummins (10-4-0) is No. 13.

Cirkunov, a 31-year-old from Toronto by way of Latvia, is coming off losses to No. 2 Volkan (No Time) Oezdemir and No. 8 Glover Teixeira. He won his first four fights in the UFC.

Also added to the Moncton Events Centre MMA card are bouts between light-heavyweights Gian Villante (16-10-0) and Ed (Short Fuse) Herman (24-13-0 with one no contest) and lightweights Thibault Gouti (12-4-0) and Nasrat Haqparast (9-2-0).

The previously announced main event pits Oezdemir against No. 9 Anthony (Lionheart) Smith.
