Curtis Blaydes will be aiming for a third straight knockout victory on Saturday when he takes on fellow heavyweight Alexander Volkov at UFC on ESPN 11 as a strong -380 favourite on the UFC odds at sportsbooks monitored by

Blaydes is coming off a second-round TKO victory over Junior dos Santos last time out at UFC Fight Night 166, and now rides a three-fight win streak into Saturday night’s bout at UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

Prior to knocking out dos Santos while set as a -310 favourite, Blaydes handed Shamil Abdurakhimov a second-round TKO loss at UFC 242. The 29-year-old American started his current win streak by getting the decision over Justin Wills at UFC Fight Night 148, and has paid out on short odds in each of his recent wins.

But while Saturday’s clash will mark the third time in his past five outings that Blaydes will make a main event appearance, he has yet to see action in championship rounds while amassing a 13-2 professional MMA record.

Volkov makes his first octagon appearance since last November listed as a +290 underdog at online betting sites. The Russian they call “Drago” needed a unanimous nod from the judges to take home the win in his battle with NFL star turned UFC fighter Greg Hardy at UFC Fight Night 163 while set as heavy -300 chalk. That win came on the heels of a third-round KO loss to Derrick Lewis at UFC 229 that ended a six-fight win streak.

Overall, Volkov owns a 5-1 record in six fights since joining the UFC in 2016. The former M-1 Global Heavyweight champion has also taken home performance bonuses on two occasions during that stretch, most notably a Performance of the Night bonus for his fourth-round KO win over Fabricio Werdum at UFC Fight Night 127.

Elsewhere on the UFC odds for Saturday, featherweights clash as Shane Burgos takes on Josh Emmett as a slim -140 favourite. Burgos recorded a third-round TKO win on punches over Makwan Amirkhani in his last appearance at UFC 244, but has claimed five of his 13 career wins by submission.

Set as a +110 underdog for Saturday’s date with Burgos, Emmett has won two in a row since losing two of four, and has seen two of his past three victories come by first-round knockout.

As well, a UFC women’s bantamweight matchup has Raquel Pennington battling Marion Reneau as a -165 favourite. Belal Muhammed goes toe-to-toe with fellow welterweight Lyman Good as a -130 wager, while Roosevelt Roberts is favoured with -230 odds in a 160-pound catchweight bout with veteran lightweight Jim Miller.
