Gegard Mousasi and Mark Munoz will headline UFC Fight Night 41 on May 31 at Berlin’s O2 World.

The event marks the UFC’s return to Germany. The promotion’s last event in the country was UFC 122 in Oberhausen in November 2010; the organization also visited the country in June 2009 with UFC 99, which took place in Cologne.

Munoz (13-4) has lost two of his last three and was knocked out by Lyoto Machida in October.

“I’ve always wanted to go to Berlin,” Munoz told UFC.com. “To be able to compete there is an added bonus. Berlin is a historic place and I’m looking forward to being part of MMA history and putting on a great show for the fans. Mousasi is a great opponent and competitor. I am looking forward to competing against him and getting one step closer to fighting for the title.”

Mousasi (34-4-2) is also coming off a loss to Machida in his last outing, dropping a decision to the Brazilian in February.

“Mark Munoz is an excellent opponent and sportsman,” Mousasi said. “I am looking forward to competing in Berlin. It will be a great fight, and I am happy to test my skill set against Mark.”

A lightweight bout between Nick Hein and Drew Dober has been added to the card.
