Lightweight contenders Khabib Nurmagomedov and Rafael dos Anjos are set to meet at the April 19 UFC on FOX event in Orlando, Fla.
UFC officials announced early Wednesday the two fighters have verbally agreed to the bout.
Dos Anjos (20-6) was scheduled to meet Rustam Khabilov at UFC 170 on Feb. 22, but an injury to Khabilov forced the cancellation of the bout. The Brazilian, dos Anjos, is currently on a five-fight win streak where he has picked up wins over Donald Cerrone, Evan Dunham, Mark Bocek, Anthony Njokuani and Kamal Shalorus.
Nurmagomedov (21-0) is one of the fastest rising fighters in the UFC and gone an impressive 5-0 inside the Octagon, beating Shalorus, Gleison Tibau, Thiago Tavares, Abel Trujillo and Pay Healy.
The 25-year-old Russian was briefly linked to a bout with Gilbert Melendez, however the deal was never finalized.
A middleweight fight between Yoel Romero and Brad Tavares was also added to the card, as was a lightweight tilt between Strikeforce veterans Jorge Masvidal and Pat Healy.
UFC on FOX 11 is headlined by a heavyweight title eliminator between Fabricio Werdum and Travis Browne. It also features a lightweight bout between Cerrone and Edson Barboza, plus a women’s bantamweight bout between Miesha Tate and Liz Carmouche.
