A women’s bantamweight bout between former Ronda Rousey armbar victims, Liz Carmouche and Miesha Tate, will take place at UFC on FOX 8.
Tate (13-4) recently lost to Cat Zingano earlier this month at The Ultimate Fighter 17 finale. After appearing to win the first two rounds, the former Strikeforce champion was TKO’d by Zingano in the third frame, failing to secure a coaching spot on TUF 18 and a rematch against Rousey.
Carmouche (8-3) was submitted by Rousey in the first female fight in Ultimate Fighting Championship history in February in the main event of UFC 157.
Both Tate and Carmouche won Fight of the Night bonuses for their respective UFC debuts.
UFC on FOX 8 takes place on July 27 at the Key Arena in Seattle and is headlined by a UFC flyweight title bout between Demetrious Johnson and John Moraga.
A welterweight contender bout between Canadian Rory MacDonald and Jake Ellenberger is also slated for the event.
