Georges St-Pierre might be finished fighting in the UFC for now, but that hasn’t stopped him from kicking super heroes.

The former welterweight champion landed the role of Batroc the Leaper in the upcoming film Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which is set for release in April, and the first images from the film were released by the studio.

Throughout his career the 32-year-old Canadian has been known as one of the good guys in mixed martial arts, but his character is one of the villains in the Marvel Studios production that also stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson among others.

In the Marvel Comics universe, Batroc the Leaper is a mercenary with no superhuman powers and is a master of the French form of kickboxing known as savate.

GSP has appeared in several action films in the past including Death Warrior, Never Surrender and Hell’s Chain, which were written and directed by martial artist Hector Echavarria.

Last year, he voiced a character in the French version of Pixar’s Monsters University.

The Saint-Isidore, Que., native was also the subject of a 2010 documentary called The Striking Truth in 2010, directed by Canadian Steven J. Wong, as well as the 2014 documentary titled Takedown: The DNA of GSP.

One month after a controversial split decision win over Johny Hendricks at UFC 167 last November, GSP vacated his title and announced he was stepping away from the sport for the foreseeable future, though he didn’t rule out a comeback.
