Canadian Ryan Jimmo will look to move up the light-heavyweight rankings when he takes on streaking Ovince St. Preux at UFC 174 in Vancouver.
The 205-pound matchup was first reported by Sportsnet contributor E. Spencer Kyte with The Province and subsequently confirmed by UFC officials.
Jimmo (19-3) is coming off a first-round knockout of Sean O’Connell at the TUF Nations Finale in Quebec City last month. The Alberta resident is 3-2 in the UFC, alternating wins and losses since earning a seven-second KO win in his promotional debut in 2012.
St. Preux (15-5) improved to 3-0 in the UFC after submitting Nikita Krylov at UFC 171 with a Von Flue choke in a win that earned him a Performance of the Night bonus. The Strikeforce veteran has won 12 of his last 13 fights.
The event takes place June 14 at Rogers Arena and is headlined by a flyweight title bout between Demetrious Johnson and Ali Bagautinov. The co-main event will see B.C. native Rory MacDonald take on Tyron Woodley in a welterweight contender bout.
At least one or two more fights are expected to be added to the card, but here is a look at the fight lineup to date:
