Canadian Sarah Kaufman’s UFC 166 loss to Jessica Eye has been overturned and changed to a no decision.
The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), which oversaw the Oct. 19 event at the Toyota Center in Houston, was the governing body that changed the result. According to Sherdog, no explanation was given as to why Eye’s win was overturned.
The 27-year-old Cleveland native won the women’s bantamweight bout by close split decision that some considered controversial. Eye is currently scheduled to meet Canadian Alexis Davis at UFC 170 on Feb. 22, while Kaufman does have her next opponent lined up.
Kaufman, of Victoria, B.C., stated on Twitter that she had no idea what was involved in the TDLR’s decision and that she never filed any grievance protesting the result of the fight.
