Sarah Moras of Kelowna, B.C., is one of four Canadians competing on The Ultimate Fighter 18. She will be writing weekly blogs for sportsnet.ca to share an inside perspective about what went on inside the gym and house on TUF 18.

It’s the episode I wish never happened and now I have to write about it. As many of you know this all happened ages ago, and I’m fine with it, I’ve accepted it, and now I have to relive it as the world finds out what went down. I get to stop pretending.

PROGRAMMING NOTE: Watch The Ultimate Fighter 18 every Wednesday on Sportsnet 360 and get weekly episode recaps on sportsnet.ca

My disappointing exit

You saw how I reacted afterwards, and I might not have come off the greatest, it is extremely emotional just being in that house, and as you would probably guess it was totally that time of the month where hormones run free. It is what it is, and it’s over with, and it’s been over with for a while, I’m honestly just glad that it’s out now and that everyone knows, and I can stop pretending. After people found out I had to fight someone I have fought before and completely destroyed everyone I know thought that I won this fight. It makes it hard to keep a secret like that especially for five months.

Inside info didn’t matter

I didn’t care about “inside information,” and honestly the whole Julianna thing wasn’t even the main reason why I was annoyed. The main reason I was annoyed was because the warm up for my last fight against Peggy was hell. It was not what I was use to at all. I did not want to go into the Pena fight the same way. I had different issues with this warm up, and if you see how I walked out for my Tara fight, it was totally different than how I walked to the cage for Peggy and Julianna. When I fought them I got mad, and it was a job, and I was angry and wanted it to be over.

When I normally fight I’m stoked, the spotlight is on me, I get to hurt people, and I get to have fun. I get to do to them what I can’t do to my training partners. The fights once in the house weren’t fun fights, and at the end of the day, what is the point if you aren’t having fun? I’m stoked to be back at my gym now where my coach and team make this an extremely fun sport to be a part of, and I’m ready to have some fun when it comes time to compete again.

Julianna is still annoying

I think after this episode everyone got a bit more of an idea as to why no one really liked Julianna. She was annoying, self centred and honestly just extremely young and clueless about the world. I’d rather be me and lose, than her and win.

I want to give a shout out to all my fans, you are amazing! I know what some fans are like and fighters are only as good as their last fight, yet I’ve been overwhelmed with positive messages and I was quite shocked! You fans are awesome and I’m going to come back better than ever!
