It’s very common for mixed martial artists to take an ice bath following a rigorous workout. It helps the body recover quicker plus it tests a fighter’s mental fortitude and pain tolerance.
Most professional athletes have taken an ice bath at some point in their career, but UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and several of his training partners haven taken ice baths to the next level, as they took a dip in a Quebec river… in February!
Judging by the enormous chunk of ice GSP and his teammates attempt to move, it’s safe to say the water they’re in is quite chilly.
