UFC welterweight contenders Carlos Condit and Martin Kampmann are all set for their rematch four years in the making.

Both 170-pound stars came in on weight for the UFC Fight Night 27 main event that goes down Wednesday night in Indianapolis.

Condit (28-7), who is looking to bounce back from his first two-fight losing streak in seven years, weighed 170.5 pounds. He is coming off back-to-back decision losses to current No. 1 contender Johny Hendricks and champion Georges St-Pierre.

Meanwhile, Kampmann (20-6) weighed an even 170 pounds and hasn’t fought since being knocked out by Hendricks in 46 seconds at UFC 154 last November.

The two headliners have been top-10 welterweights for several years and their first bout in April 2009 was regarded as one of the best fights of that year.

Condit entered their original meeting as the outgoing WEC champion – the UFC enveloped the defunct Zuffa promotion’s 170-pound weight class in February 2009 – while Kampmann had recently dropped down from the UFC’s middleweight division. Kampmann ended up winning a razor-thin split decision over Condit.

Since that fight, both men have risen in the ranks and picked up a combined eight Fight Night awards, and the winner of Wednesday’s scrap will remain in title contention in a stacked division, so fans should expect an exciting bout.

Also on the card, lightweight contenders Donald Cerrone and Rafael dos Anjos go toe-to-toe in the co-main event. A win for dos Anjos could potentially put the Brazilian in a position to compete for a title shot.

Plus, TUF 17 winner Kelvin Gastelum makes his welterweight debut against Brian Melancon, TUF 11 winner Court McGee and TUF Smashes winner Robert Whittaker will throw down on the main card, and featherweights Darren Elkins and Hatsu Hioki meet on the televised prelims.

All 24 fighters set to compete at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse made weight on their first attempt.
