Ronda Rousey has made a huge impression in the mixed martial arts world and she continues to make a name for herself in the pop culture world, as the UFC women’s bantamweight champion was named to the Maxim Hot 100 list.

Rousey ranks 29th on the 2013 edition of the annual list, which is decided upon by online voters.

The 26-year-old began her athletic career as a judoka and went on to win an Olympic bronze medal in judo at the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games.

Rousey first competed in MMA in 2010 and made her professional debut in March 2011. She quickly shot up the rankings, finishing all of her opponents by first-round armbar, and by March 2012 she was the Strikeforce champion after submitting Miesha Tate in brutal fashion.

Her rise has led to her quickly becoming one of the most popular athletes in the sport.

Rousey was also recently featured on the cover of ESPN The Magazine.

Rousey entered the record books and became UFC champ when she beat Liz Carmouche at UFC 157 in February in the first ever female fight in UFC history.

In her next fight, the California native will take on fellow undefeated fighter Cat Zingano after the two are done filming The Ultimate Fighter 18, in which they are the coaches on the first ever co-ed edition of the popular MMA reality show.
