When Dan Henderson and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua stepped into the Octagon in the main event of UFC 139 in December 2011, what resulted was a fight many have called the greatest in UFC history.
The two MMA legends are set to meet for a second time as the pair face off in the main event of UFC Fight Night 38 on March 23 in Brazil.
PROGRAMMING NOTE: Watch five hours of live UFC action Sunday on Sportsnet 360 with prelims starting at 5 p.m. EST and the main card at 7 p.m. EST
Henderson won the first bout by five-round unanimous decision, however many feel the bout should have been called a draw.
To get you set for Sunday’s headliner, watch their epic first battle in its entirety below:
Henderson (29-11) is on the first three-fight losing streak of his career, getting knocked out by Vitor Belfort last year after dropping back-to-back split decisions to former champions Rashad Evans and Lyoto Machida. The 43-year-old is currently the oldest fighter on the UFC roster.
Rua (22-8) recently snapped a two-fight losing streak when he knocked out James Te-Huna in December.
The weigh-ins took place Saturday with all but one fighter making weight. Here are the complete results:
