Video footage published Thursday by TMZ Sports shows what appears to be former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor punch an older man at a bar in Dublin.
As the video shows, McGregor appears to be pouring whiskey into glasses for patrons but is rejected by one man near the end of the bar who refuses to take a glass that McGregor puts down for him.
There’s no audio in the video from TMZ, but it would appear the man’s demonstrative refusal of the drink McGregor’s pouring — presumably the Proper No. Twelve whiskey that he helped found — upset McGregor, who looked like he had some choice words for the man.
Afterwards, however, McGregor then proceeded to pour whiskey into the willing patrons’ glasses and looked to make some kind of an announcement, followed by delivering a left-handed shot to the face of the unsuspecting man who refused the drink McGregor was offering.
McGregor’s handlers quickly had him exit the bar while the rest of the room looked stunned. Surprisingly, the man didn’t get knocked down from McGregor’s shot to the side of his head.
The incident, as TMZ reports, took place on April 6 at the The Marble Arch Pub in Dublin.
ESPN reports that investigations into the event are ongoing but no arrests have been made.
McGregor has a professional MMA record of 21-4 with 18 victories coming via knockout. He hasn’t been in the octagon since his Oct. 6, 2018 defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229.
