LAS VEGAS — We have another new champion as Robert Whittaker beat Yoel Romero in a five-round unanimous decision in the main event of UFC 213.

Whittaker is now in line to unify his interim middleweight title with Michael Bisping’s lineal belt at some point later this year.

Alistair Overeem is eyeing a spot on the next Madison Square Garden card after beating Fabricio Werdum by unanimous decision.

With Overeem back in the title picture, UFC president Dana White still wants to wait and see how the heavyweight division plays out over the next few months before announcing which fighter will challenge Stipe Miocic for the title.

Former lightweight champion Anthony Pettis beat Jim Miller in his return to 155 pounds.

Rob Font was promoted to the main card after Amanda Nunes vs. Valentina Shevchenko was cancelled and he made good on his chance in the spotlight.
