TORONTO — Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler will face former UFC and Pride star Akihiro Gono on May 4 at Bellator 67 at Casino Rama in Rama, Ont.
The 25-year-old Chandler (9-0) is coming off a fourth-round submission victory against Eddie Alvarez at Bellator 58 last November.
The 37-year-old Gono (32-17) has lost his last two outings.
Also on the card, Edmonton welterweight Ryan (The Real Deal) Ford (17-4) makes his Bellator debut against veteran Luis (Sapo) Santos (50-7).
Bellator 67 will mark the organization’s third show at Rama.
