Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame has invited Canadians from coast to coast to nominate their sports heroes for introduction into their class of 2019.

To nominate a Canadian athlete or sport builder who has made lifelong contributions to the development of sport in the Great White North, you can you can complete an online form, or complete a nomination form and mail, fax, or email Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame.
The deadline for submissions is January 15, 2019 at midnight.
“Nominated individuals may be deceased pioneers of Canadian sport, exceptional athletes that have been retired from major competition for at least four years, or builders demonstrating a lifetime commitment to the development of sport in Canada,” Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame wrote on their website.
Every nomination received is to be reviewed by the selection committee where the newest class of inductees will be voted on and recommended to Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame’s Board of Governers in an extensive process.

Last year’s class featured a group of eight talented and well-accomplished athletes and builders led by Hockey Hall of Famer and former Toronto Maple Leafs legend Dave Keon and CFL great Damon Allen. Other notable nominees in years past include Wayne Gretzky (2000), Paul Beeston (2005), Scotty Bowman (2004), and, of course, Terry Fox (1981).
