UFC middleweight top contender Chael Sonnen has recruited Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace Vinny Magalhaes to help prepare for his championship bout this summer against Anderson Silva, according to a tweet from Magalhaes.
Sonnen, who meets Silva in a much-anticipated rematch at a soccer stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on June 23, dominated the champ for four rounds in their first meeting in August 2010 before getting choked out in a late triangle. Magalhaes won the 2011 Abu Dhabi Combat Club submission wrestling world title and is a three-time BJJ world champion.
