Drug testers crash Lolo Jones’ birthday party

"Surprise! I need a sample of your urine," wasn’t exactly the type of request that Lolo Jones expected to hear at her birthday party.

The recently turned 31-year-old Jones, a world champion hurdler who is making a transition to bobsledding, found herself being randomly drug tested by the International Olympic Committee right in the middle of her celebrations.

The two-time American Olympian was informed by the IOC that she would be tested, which inconveniently (and awkwardly), happened before she left to go to her party.

Jones, however, wasn’t about to let the drug testers dampen her night as she ended up pulling them along to her birthday festivities before eventually succumbing to their demands of supplying a test sample.

During Jones’ unusual night she made sure to keep her fans in the loop through social media.

This isn’t the first time that a high-profile Olympian has been tested in such a fashion, as skier Lindsey Vonn also experienced an unusual circumstance when she was pulled off the red carpet of an award show to be administered a drug test.
