ASPEN, Colo. — Canadian freestyle skier Vincent Gagnier scored 90.00 points to win silver in big air at the X Games on Saturday night.
Gagnier, from Victoriaville, Que., scored 46.00 on his first of five total runs and followed that up with 44.00 in his second jump for the event’s second-best combined score.
Sweden’s Henrik Harlaut won gold with 93.00 points and Kai Mahler of Switzerland took bronze with 87.00.
Quebec City’s Alex Beaulieu-Marchand, who will compete for Canada at the Sochi Winter Olympics next month, finished fifth with 79.00 points. Gagnier did not make the Canadian Olympic team.
