St-Pierre (22-2) has not fought since defending his title against Jake Shields in the main event of UFC 129 in Toronto, which took place on April 30 of last year.
GSP was scheduled to fight Nick Diaz, and then Carlos Condit, at UFC 137 but a knee injury forced him to withdraw from the bout. The UFC rescheduled the GSP-Condit fight for UFC 143, but St-Pierre re-injured himself and underwent knee surgery, which has required a long and arduous rehabilitation.
The 31-year-old Saint-Isidore, Que, native will fight Condit, who beat Diaz at UFC 143 and won the interim welterweight title.
This will be the third time GSP will headline a UFC event in his home province.
UFC 154 takes place on Nov. 17 at the Bell Centre. A 170-pound title eliminator bout between Martin Kampmann and Johny Hendricks is also expected take place at the event.
