BRUSSELS, Belgium — Olympic judo bronze medallist Charline Van Snick says she has tested positive for cocaine but maintained her innocence.

Van Snick says the international judo federation informed her of a positive urine test taken around the time of the world championships in Rio de Janeiro in August, where she also won bronze in the 48-kilogram division.

Van Snick told RTBF network “the news has totally stunned me.”

She denies ever having knowingly taken illegal substances.
