Logan Paul lasted all eight rounds in his eight-round exhibition bout with Floyd Mayweather at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Sunday night.

Since there were no judges ringside the fight did not have an official winner at the end as per exhibition rules, although knockouts were permitted.

Paul did make attempts to go after one of boxing’s greatest pound-for-pound fighters in the first round throwing multiple haymakers with Mayweather dodging. Paul tried his best to use his 34-pound advantage by leaning on the shorter Mayweather but got caught by a few short left hooks to the head and rights to the body.

“I had fun,” Mayweather said after the match. “You have to realize I’m not 21 anymore. It’s good to move around these young guys and have some fun. Great young fighter, strong, tough. He’s better than I thought he was.”

It was clear that Mayweather was willing to let Paul get fatigued by letting him go after him early. This was Mayweather’s first fight since he knocked out kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in one round on New Year’s Eve in 2018.

The 44-year-old finished his boxing career winning world titles in five divisions and a 50-0 career record. Paul was feeling confident after the fight and let it be known that he would get back in the ring with Mayweather.

“I don’t want anyone to tell me anything is impossible ever again,” Paul said. “To get in here with one of the greatest boxers of all time, proves that the odds could be beat.”

The fight did have through several moments of inactivity with both Paul and Mayweather settling for clinches later in the fight, leaving many restless especially those watching on social media.

Former NFL receiver Chad Johnson made his boxing debut in the first fight of the card getting knocked down in the fourth round by veteran Brian Maxwell. Johnson and Maxwell fought for four two-minute rounds as Maxwell caught Johnson with a flush right hand in the fourth.
