TORONTO — Olympic gold medallist Rosie MacLennan headlines Canada’s trampoline team for this summer’s Pan American Games in Toronto.

Three-time Olympic medallist Karen Cockburn and Olympic silver medallist Jason Burnett were also named to the team Thursday.

Canada swept trampoline gold at the Pan Am Games four years ago in Guadalajara, with MacLennan, a native of King City, Ont., claiming the women’s title and Burnett, from Nobleton, Ont., winning the men’s event. Cockburn, from Stouffville, Ont., captured the Pan Am Games title in 2007 in Rio de Janeiro.

"The trampoline team has been working overtime to ensure that we are at our best when we compete against the Americas this summer on home turf," MacLennan said in a release.

Keegan Soehn of Red Deer, Alta., is the other men’s entry for the Pan Ams, which run July 10-26.

Samantha Sendel of Aurora, Ont., and Kyle Soehn of Red Deer are the alternates.
