You may only vote in each category once. You did not need to have nominated in order to be able to vote, so please go on and cast your support for MMA Connected and Showdown Joe. All votes must be entered by Saturday, Dec. 5.
The award winners will be announced Wednesday, Dec. 30 in Las Vegas.
Other categories include “Fighter of the Year” where Canadian and former sportsnet.ca Athlete of the Year Georges St. Pierre is a finalist. He is up against Mike Brown, Brock Lesnar, Lyoto Machida and Anderson Silva.
Another category of note is “Coach of the Year” among whose nominees are Greg Jackson (who trains St. Pierre), Mark Dellagrotte (who works with Quebec’s Patrick Cote) and London, Ont.’s Shawn Tompkins, the formerly head trainer at Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas who has recently left that gym to join TapouT.
