ALBERTON, P.E.I. — Brett Gallant’s Charlottetown Curling Club rink beat Spencer Pietre of the host Western Community Curling Club 9-2 Monday to capture the P.E.I. junior men’s curling title for the third straight year.
Gallant, third Adam Casey, second Anson Carmody and lead Alex MacFadyen will represent the province at the Canadian junior curling championship Feb. 2-10 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.
Gallant’s rink stormed ahead early with three points in the second end before stealing one in the fourth and two more in the fifth to open up a 6-1 lead.
Carmody’s sister Erin repeated as P.E.I. junior women’s champion Sunday.
