Rachel Homan stole three in the sixth as she went on to defeat Cathy Auld 7-3 in the Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts final on Sunday in Waterloo, Ont.
Homan nailed a runback double with her final shot in the eighth to score a deuce and pull away 7-2.
Both rinks shook hands after Auld could only manage a single in the ninth.
Homan, who also won the Ontario Scotties in 2011, was seeking redemption after falling in last year’s final to Tracy Horgan of Sudbury.
The Ottawa native Homan finished the tournament undefeated after running the table in the round robin and beating Auld 9-0 in the Page 1-2 playoff.
Auld, from Kingston, Ont., eliminated Sherry Middaugh 10-4 in the semifinal to set up the rematch.

In Halifax, Mary-Anne Arsenault tied it in the eighth and stole two in the ninth to edge Jocelyn Nix 6-4 and win the Nova Scotia Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

In Charlottetown, Suzanne Birt scored a deuce in the sixth and added another two more in the eighth to defeat Kim Dolan 6-3 in nine ends and win the Prince Edward Island Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

Quebec City’s Jean-Michel Menard edged Philippe Lemay 6-5 in 10th end of the Quebec mens’ provincial championship. Lemay, from Trois-Rivieres, Que., had scored a deuce to tie it in the ninth.
Allison Ross scored three in the eighth and stole two in the ninth to beat Eve Belisle 11-4 for the Quebec Scotties Tournament of Hearts championship.

In Balgonie, Sask., Jill Shumay edged Stefanie Lawton 8-7 in the Saskatchewan Scotties Tournament of Hearts final. Shumay scored four in the fifth but Lawton cut the deficit and tied it up 7-7 in the ninth.

In Lethbridge, Alta., Kristie Moore slid her final rock gently to the button in the 11th to beat Renee Sonnenberg 8-7 in the extra end for the Alberta Scotties Tournament of Hearts championship.
Sonnenberg, a two-time provincial champion, was ahead 4-2 until Moore tied it up with a pair in the sixth and stole two in the seventh to pull ahead 6-4 in the battle between Grande Prairie rinks. Sonnenberg had knotted it up with a deuce in the 10th.
