EVERETT, Wash. — Ryan Powell scored twice, including the game winner, as the Edmonton Rush edged the Washington Stealth 14-13 in National Lacrosse League play Saturday.
Powell’s goals at 11:37 and 13:21 in the fourth quarter were the difference despite Washington rallying hard with five goals in the fourth.
Ryan Ward scored four, Dean Hill scored three, Gavin Prout scored twice and added five assists, and Brodie Merrill, Andy Secore and Corey Small each had singles for the Rush (10-6).
Lewis Ratcliff was outstanding for the Stealth (10-5) with six goals and two assists, while Paul Rabil, Rhys Duch and Luke Wiles had two apiece and Matt Beers added a single.
Edmonton goaltender Matt Disher made 48 saves for the win, while at the other end Matt Roik stopped 26.
