CHARLOTTETOWN — Saskatchewan’s Amber Holland remained perfect at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts with a 10-2 victory over Stacie Devereaux of Newfoundland and Labrador on Wednesday morning.

Holland, who has three games to go, improved to 8-0 and is a virtual lock to make the playoffs. She wasn’t ready to talk about the possibility of becoming the first team to go unbeaten in the round robin since B.C.’s Linda Moore was 10-0 in 1985.

"It’s nice to be unbeaten, but I don’t think we feel unbeatable," Holland said. "We know it’s curling and lots of stuff can happen on the ice. We just have to focus on our performance and worry about that."

Canada’s Jennifer Jones defeated Ontario’s Rachel Homan 7-4 to leave both rinks tied for second place at 6-2. Alberta’s Shannon Kleibrink was still in the playoff hunt at 5-3 after an 8-4 decision over Quebec’s Marie-France Larouche.

Nova Scotia’s Heather Smith-Dacey was next at 4-3 while B.C.’s Kelly Scott improved to 4-4 with a 4-3 victory over P.E.I.’s Suzanne Birt. The host rink was tied with Quebec at 3-5.

The four teams with the best record at the round-robin’s conclusion Thursday advance to the Page playoff. Any ties for fourth will be solved with tiebreakers.

In the Page playoff, the top two seeds meet in one game with the winner advancing to Sunday’s final. The loser drops to Saturday’s semifinal to meet the winner of the third and fourth seeds.
