Sportsnet donates $400k to Northern Alberta Institute of Technology

Sportsnet has made a huge commitment to the future of radio and television, with a significant donation to Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.

Sportsnet has donated $400,000 to the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) in an effort to support the continued growth of media training at the school.

The contribution will fund scholarships and also be used to develop an enhanced broadcast studio.

“In the ever-evolving world of media, NAIT has a proven track record of developing its students to become leaders in the broadcasting industry,” said Sportsnet president Scott Moore. “We believe this investment with NAIT is a chance for us to help grow the next generation of media leaders in Canada.”

Located in Edmonton, NAIT is a polytechnic with nearly 60,000 credit and non-credit students.
