LAS VEGAS — Brazilian Antonio Rogerio Nogueira will take on former middleweight champion Rich Franklin in a light-heavyweight bout at UFC 133.
The card is set for Aug. 6 in Philadelphia.
The UFC has already announced a middleweight bout between Yoshihiro Akiyama and Brazil’s Vitor Belfort and a bantamweight matchup between Michael McDonald and Nick Pace for the August show.
UFC 133 will also feature middleweight bouts between Rafael Natal and Japan’s Riki Fukuda and Italy’s Alessio Sakara and Jorge (El Conquistador) Rivera.
In other news, former WEC featherweight champion Cole Escovedo will make his UFC debut at bantamweight against Brazilian Renan Barao at UFC 130.
Barao was originally scheduled to fight Demetrious Johnson. But Johnson is replacing the injured Brad Pickett against Miguel Torres on the same card May 28 in Las Vegas.
(Mayhem) Miller returns to the UFC
LAS VEGAS — Middleweight Jason (Mayhem) Miller returns to the UFC when he faces Aaron (A-Train) Simpson at UFC 132 in July.
Miller, who had been fighting for Dream and Strikeforce recently, last fought for the UFC in April 2005 when he lost to Canadian Georges St-Pierre at UFC 52.
The 30-year-old Miller (24-7 with one no contest) is coming off a first-round submission win over Japan’s Kazushi Sakuraba in September.
Simpson (8-2) won a unanimous decision over Mario Miranda in March.
Bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz meets Urijah (The California Kid) Faber in the main event of the July 2 card at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
