Rory MacDonald co-hosts UFC CENTRAL

At just 22 years old, Rory MacDonald boasts a career mixed martial arts record of 14-1. He’s won three straight fights in the UFC in convincing fashion, and on September 22nd he’ll take on former Lightweight and Welterweight champion B.J. Penn in Toronto.

MacDonald co-hosts this week’s episode with “Showdown” Joe Ferraro from the site for UFC 152.

Friday night was the first of back-to-back events for the UFC, as Gray Maynard defeated Clay Guida in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Find out why Guida has been taking a lot of heat for his performance, plus all the results from the fights seen on Sportsnet.

Saturday night the organization returned to Brazil, where a sold out crowd witnessed an entertaining rematch between Wanderlei Silva and Rich Franklin, with the American coming out on top. But was Franklin’s performance good enough for him to begin one more run at a title?

Days earlier Fedor Emelianenko fought the final fight of his twelve-year mixed martial arts career. We look at how he finished things off and the legacy he’s left behind.

And Rory MacDonald not only discusses these topics, but find out what he really thinks about fighting Penn, and his response to UFC president Dana White’s statement that MacDonald would fight Georges St-Pierre if it ever came down to it.
