UFC 140 live coverage on Sportsnet & sportsnet.ca

Rogers Sportsnet will be your home for UFC 140: Jones vs. Machida on Saturday night.

Sportsnet and sportsnet.ca has extensive live coverage of UFC 140 in Toronto starting from the very first undercard fight at 5:45 p.m. ET / 2:45 p.m. PT. This includes two Canadians in action: Saskatchewan’s Mitch Clarke and Toronto’s Mark Bocek.

Join James (Big Game) Brydon for a live interactive chat throughout the night as he comments on the action at the Air Canada Centre. At the same time, you will also be able to get quick results and live play-by-play broken down by fight on separate pages.

From 6-7 p.m. ET, UFC Central presents a special preview show where host (Showdown) Joe Ferraro is joined by former UFC fighter Frank Trigg. This will air on all Sportsnet regional channels.

Following that, watch four live preliminary fights on Sportsnet. The two-hour broadcast will include three Canadians: Montreal’s Yves Jabouin and John Makdessi, as well as Winnipeg’s Krzysztof Soszynski.

The chat and live results will continue on sportsnet.ca through the main card, that airs on pay-per-view at 9 p.m. ET. Ontario natives Mark Hominick and Claude Patrick are featured in the first two fights.

Then former UFC champion — and newly anointed “People’s Champ” — Tito Ortiz takes on Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, and former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir meets Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (in a rematch between fighters who have both also held UFC interim belts) in the co-main event.

The show is headlined by a light-heavyweight title bout between champion Jon Jones and former title-holder Lyoto Machida. With a total of seven Canadians, a handful of former champions and many fan favourites, Toronto is host to one of the best cards on paper of 2011.
