Sports drink brand Gatorade has released a commercial celebrating it’s 50th birthday in a slick montage going through 50 years of the company’s many commercials.
First introduced on September 9, 1965, Gatorade was developed by a group of researchers at the University of Florida to help the school’s athletes replenish the combination of water, carbohydrates and electrolytes lost while sweating following a request made by then-Florida Gators head coach Ray Graves.
Gatorade is now owned and manufactured by PepsiCo.
