Last year's Class of 2018 for Canada's Sports Hall of Fame pose for a photo. The deadline for Canadians to submit their nominations for the class of 2019 is January 15, 2019.

A new crop of athletes and builders who have made significant contributions to sport in Canada is set to receive the country’s highest sporting honour.

Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame will induct eight new members on Thursday as part of the Class of 2018. You can watch the ceremony live on Sportsnet 360 and right here sportsnet.ca starting at 10 a.m. ET / 7 a.m. PT.

The Class of 2018 includes:

  • Jeff Adams (Athlete, Para-athletics)
  • Damon Allen (Athlete, Football)
  • Mary Baker (Athlete, Baseball)
  • Chandra Crawford (Athlete, Cross-country skiing)
  • Alexandre Despatie (Athlete, Diving)
  • David Keon (Athlete, Hockey)
  • Dr. Sandra Kirby (Builder, Sports Administration)
  • Wilton Littlechild (Builder, Indigenous Peoples’ sports)
