The NBA has fined the Philadelphia 76ers $25,000 for violating the league’s injury reporting rules after not disclosing Ben Simmons‘ injury before their game against the Denver Nuggets.
Simmons missed the game with a swollen left knee which was not listed on the league’s injury report. Philadelphia’s game was in danger of being postponed as they did not have enough eight healthy players and were forced to have an injured Mike Scott in the lineup.
After Seth Curry reportedly tested positive for COVID-19, the team ruled out Tobias Harris, Danny Green, Matisse Thybulle, Shake Milton, Vincent Poirier, and Paul Reed due to health and safety protocols.
