The Toronto Raptors are just three games into the 2023-24 season, but they already have some serious bulletin board material courtesy of Philadelphia 76ers guard Patrick Beverley.
Known as one of the league's best agitators, Beverley took a shot at Canada's only NBA team before Saturday's matchup.
"Who's the dog of that team?" Beverley asked on a recent episode of the Pat Bev Pod. "I see [O.G.] Anunoby in a dark alley, I see [Pascal Siakam] in a dark alley I don't feel threatened. That's not disrespect for them."
After the 76ers pulled out a 114-107 win over the Raptors on Saturday night, Beverley doubled down on his claim.
"Like I said. No dogs," Beverley said from his personal X account.
The veteran guard didn't exactly stuff the stat sheet in his team's win, as he finished with two points, five rebounds and two assists in 16 minutes. But that has never stopped Beverley from speaking his mind, and it never will.
Toronto's next chance to make Beverley eat his words comes quickly, as the Raptors will head to Philadelphia for a shot at redemption on Thursday.
