The Portland Trail Blazers may be without Kris Murray for the foreseeable future.
The forward has been diagnosed with a lumbar strain in his lower back, and his return to play will be updated as appropriate, the team announced Sunday.
Murray suffered the injury in Monday's 137-117 victory over the Utah Jazz and missed Portland's next two games.
The 25-year-old is averaging 6.1 points, four rebounds and 1.2 assists on a career-best 44.6 per cent shooting through 34 games this season. He's started in 11 games this campaign while averaging a personal-high 25.7 minutes of playing time.
The Trail Blazers are ninth in the Western Conference with a 19-20 record.
