Bruce Brown might be ditching his new career as a courtside cowboy and going back to basketball.
Sportsnet’s Michael Grange reported that Brown is working on reconditioning and is expected to make his season debut on the Toronto Raptors' upcoming four-game road trip.
The 28-year-old has donned full western-themed attire on the bench at every game this season, eventually inspiring teammate Scottie Barnes to do the same.
Brown split time between the Raptors and the Indiana Pacers last season, averaging 10.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists.
With the return of the six-foot-five wing, some of the Raptors rookies will be seeing less minutes.
Toronto’s first-round selection, Ja’Kobe Walter, will stay with the Raptors 905 in Mississauga, Ont., to ramp up after missing six games with a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder.
Jamal Shead, Jonathan Mogbo, and Jamison Battle are other Raptors whose minutes will be affected by Browns return. All three are eligible for assignment to the 905.
