A high-flying Canadian made his long-awaited return to the hardwood on Thursday.
Shaedon Sharpe returned after a 298-day injury layoff for the Portland Trail Blazers, playing 20 minutes off the bench in a 118-105 loss to the San Antonio Spurs.
Sharpe, the 21-year-old from London, Ont., hasn't seen game action since January after sustaining a labral tear in his left shoulder.
He appeared on his way to a breakout sophomore season, averaging 15.9 points and five rebounds in 33.1 minutes per game before the injury occurred.
In his first game back, he scored 13 points on six-for-nine shooting while adding two rebounds and one assist.
Through 112 career contests, the former first-round pick quickly became known for his towering dunks.
