The Boston Celtics announced that Brampton, Ont.’s Tristan Thompson and guard Romeo Langford will miss Tuesday’s game against the Utah Jazz due to health and safety protocols.
Thompson will be sidelined for an indefinite period of time, but could be back as soon as Wednesday night as the Celtics visit the Cleveland Cavaliers. He’s played in every Celtics game since Jan. 8 and is averaging 7.9 points and 8.4 rebounds in 22.5 minutes as Boston’s starting center this season.
Langford hasn’t appeared in a game for the Celtics since having wrist surgery in September.
