Los Angeles Clippers guard Patrick Beverley will be sidelined at least three to four weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a fracture in his left hand, the team announced Friday.
The three-time All-Defensive Team guard was hurt — suffering a fracture of the fourth metacarpal bone — pursuing a rebound in the fourth quarter of the Clippers’ 113-103 win over the Phoenix Suns on Thursday.
The 32-year-old starter, who has spent the last four seasons in L.A., is averaging 8.0 points, 2.1 assists and 0.8 steals in 23.4 minutes across 31 games with the Clippers.
The top-heavy Clippers, who sit third in the West at 35-18, acquired 14-year pro Rajon Rondo from the Atlanta Hawks at the trade deadline in an effort to shore up their depth at point guard.
